The
2009 WESA Softball season has kicked off, after two hugely successful registrations.
WESA is entering it's 31st season and is the longest Gay and Lesbian sporting organizations in BC.
WESA
is also a very unique softball organization, in that teams are
'drafted' each year. This means that everyone in WESA registers as an
individual and is draft on to a team, rather than an entire team.
This
helps make WESA a very social league, as each year you play with new
players. Players may register as a solo or with a buddy for ether one
of our two divisions. Registering with a buddy ensures that you are
able to play with at least one close personal friend.
Our D Division is geared more to the social/beginner softball player while our C Division has a higher skill level.
Both divisions have competitive, fun and social games held at out home field in Stanley Park.
