WESA is a 'Draft' league
One of the things that we love about WESA is that when registering to play every year, you will sign up as an individual, rather than a team, and choose one of our two tiered divisions in which to register. This means that every year you will make new friends and play with new teammates. 

It is not possible to register a team or partial team to play in WESA. All players are pooled together within the tiered division in which they sign up for and coaches assigned by the WESA Commission draft their teams for the season from the list of available players.  

This universal draft process promotes the social and participation values that are such an important part of WESA culture and helps ensure that new and returning players alike and of all abilities have an opportunity to play.

Our Division Structure 
In 2023, WESA updated the old D and C division structure to a new tiered division structure: Tier 1 and Tier 2. While both tiered divisions are competitive due to the nature of sport, both offer a friendly, fun, and social environment to play softball and make great friends.   

• Tier 1 - Softball entry level division and for those who prioritize a slower-paced game, including beginner and novice softball players, who may not yet have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of the game. 
• Tier 2 - Best suited for more experienced softball players who have a good grasp of the fundamentals of the game and who appreciate a more efficient, fluid, and faster-paced game. 

Registration Dates for 2024

2024 season registration closed March 31, 2024.  Any new registrations will be added to our waitlist.  To add yourself to the waitlist:

1. Start here and choose "New Members (Tier 1 or Tier 2)" from the drop-down list.
2. If you don't have a WESA Teamlinkt account you will be asked to create one.
3. When asked who do you want to register / if you are registering yourself or a family member, always choose "myself".
4. Be sure to read the Member Agreement and check the "I Agree" box.
5. You may pay your registration fee by credit card, debit Visa, or debit MasterCard.
6. Select "no" to the banner offer regarding purchasing a subscrption to TeamLinkt.
7. Complete your registration!

WESA offers the free-to-members "Softball Essentials program" for rookies and novice players. This four-week program runs in the pre-season and focuses on teaching the basic skills (i.e., throwing & catching, infield & outfield, running bases, and batting) as well as providing an introduction to, and practical knowledge of, the game of slo-pitch softball. Mark your calendar now for this and other upcoming WESA events.
