History: How we got here.
Since 1978, Canada has had Gay Softball tournaments in Vancouver and/or Toronto. Toronto's Gay Canada Cup started in 1978 and Vancouver's Pacific Cup has run continuously since 1979. IPS members from Vancouver, Hamilton, and Toronto have been looking to find more opportunities for their members to travel and compete with other Pride communites in Canada. In 2026 WESA is merging the Vancouver Pacific Cup and our league WESA Cup into the new Canada Cup Series.

PRIDE SOFTBALL CANADA FIERTÉ
WESA has a committee of members in conversation with other Canadian leagues exploring partnership opporutnities for their members, including the Pride Softball Canada Cup Series. Using as inspiration WESA's Vancouver Pacific Cup, CGSL's Toronto Gay Canada Cup, and the Gay Softball World Series, the group has been working towards a united Canadian tournament inviting softball players from across Canada, the US, and beyond.
