WESA Coaching Manual
An updated version of the league Coaching Manual is in the works. We hope to have a working draft ready for the 2025 Season. The current Coaching Manual can be found as part of the WESA Governing Manual here.
Coaches Retreats
WESA's Coaches got together with the WESA Commission to learn from each other and plan ahead on issues of Team Management and improving communicating our expectations. The Autumn Mini-Retreats were focused more on discussing ways to improve the Coaching experience and that of the Members. There were three Retreats in November of each 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Coach Squad Clinics
In order to achieve our goal of being inclusive and transparent in recruitment and training of WESA team management and leadership, the league continues to develop a series of Coaching Clinics. The ultimate goal is to prepare our members for success in their Coaching aspirations while filling the league's needs of capable coaches and inspiring leaders.
Topics for our Coaching Clinics:
- Team Leadership
- Team Building (including the draft)
- Team Management (communications, community, league rules & conventions)
- Rules of the Game (SPN and league appendices)
- Coaching the Coach (skills training)
- Scorekeeping (for all members)
